Our Advice Process

  • At Discovery, we take the time to understand you, your situation, any concerns you may have and what your goals and aspirations are. We want to help you achieve your goals, whether they are short or long term.

    You may simply need some professional advice, or assistance, in one or two areas of your affairs only that you perhaps have not dealt with before

    Please allow between 1-2 hours for your initial discovery meeting. In the discovery meeting we will talk generally about your issues of concern and areas we are able to assist, before you decide to proceed to Advice stage. The initial discovery meeting is charged at a flat fee (see our Financial Services Guide), should you wish to proceed to advice, we will provide you with an estimate of cost based on the estimated time involved, and seek your approval before commencing work. That way, you will always have the confidence of knowing any associated costs upfront before we act.

  • Should you elect to proceed to seek our financial advice, we will go into more detail, including:

    • Identifying all of your relevant circumstances

    • Clearly define the goals or problems you are seeking to solve

    • Research a range of strategies and solutions, including a range of alternative options

    • Provide you with recommendations that are best for you, in a written Statement of Advice

    Any advice or services, should you require them, will be quoted based on the scale of your needs.   

  • We will implement, or assist you to implement, any strategies or changes receommended within your Statement of Advice.
